With work now complete, Gilles BOISSONNET, Chairman of Altarea Commerce’s Management Board today opened the new Cap3000 shopping centre in Saint-Laurent-du-Var, close to Nice. Christian ESTROSI Nice Côte d’Azur President and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur President and Joseph SEGURA, Mayor of Saint-Laurent-du-Var, attended the opening.
This event marked an important milestone in the renovation of this centre, which has been popular with shoppers for nearly 50 years. Equipped with an enhanced digital system, Cap3000, which enjoys a wonderful position overlooking the sea, is one of the most emblematic centres in Europe. Renovation cost amounts to approximately €200 million and generate 400 jobs.
The work, which involved a refurbishment and the construction of the North section and car parks, has given Cap3000 increased potential. The renovation and extension work, which pooled the talents of architects and designers to create the overall design, has definitely made the most of the area and its assets.
Gilles BOISSONNET, Chairman of Altarea’s Management Board, told us:
"We are proud to unveil the renovated Cap3000, an iconic centre for the whole region and the people who live here. Visitors will find that the centre has been completely transformed to fully reflect our shopping ethos. The refurbished centre is absolutely stunning and now offers shopping, entertainment, digital innovation and services. Cap3000 is an exceptional commercial asset for the Group. It reflects all our business fundamentals, with an outstanding location, solid local roots and an adventurous commercial offering. I would like to thank the teams for all their hard work in the renovation, which has established the centre as the first of its kind in Europe.”
