SIGNATURE OF A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NEW TOWN CENTRE OF BOBIGNY, A MIXED-USE 100,000 SQM PROJECT TO BE DEVELOPED BY ALTAREA COGEDIM

27 Oct 2016

Representatives of the Town of Bobigny, the private joint owners of the Bobigny 2 shopping centre (including Auchan and La Française Real Estate Managers via one of its REITs) and Altarea Cogedim signed a memorandum of understanding for the development of the new Bobigny town centre project on the site of the current Bobigny 2 shopping centre, close to the Pablo Picasso multimodal transport hub.

The signing of this memorandum of understanding follows a competitive tendering process organized by the town of Bobigny and the private joint owners of the Bobigny 2 shopping centre, for the urban renewal of the new centre of the town. As the winner of this competitive process, Altarea Cogedim will join the architecture firm Trévelo & Viger-Kohler (TVK) to design the new town center. This mixed-use project of more than 100,000 sqm will include housing, a commercial and leisure area and offices, thus strengthening the urban polarity of Bobigny’s town centre, in a community located at the heart of the Greater Paris region.
